Last day of Archery season here in Oregon , I’m getting ready to drop into the road on the righ and hunt around Got into a bull in this canyon area earlier this week he was bugling and thrashing about came within 25 yards me but something went wrong and he went silent but it’s been a quiet the elk season here I’ve only heard two bugles all year even though I’ve got elk all around me

Sunday Morning Camp Chef. Frosty night in the Big Anges. Still Ought for Nothing on Pike. We were blessed with a Ruffed Grouse on the driveway when we got home. She made a very good egg, toast, and sausage breakfast. We also put our tent on a whole colony of ladybugs. We ended up having them crawling on us all night.


My granddaughter took the picture while I held the grouse. She ended up saying that she thought it was weird how you could just pull the skin and feathers right of the meat, because I told her how we woud leave the feathers and skin in the woods before they made it a law that you have to take the whole bird.

Duck hunting this morning, we actually found an opening weekend spot without skyblasters!

I found this prehistoric lizard city. I suspect that they had a feudal system with the serfs living outside of the wall on the left.

I also saw my first Oregon cougar from that knob.

I saw him early in the month, but I don't think he gave me any decent shots. Haven't seen him the last few times out.
