Saw my first elk calf on public. Poor thing probably heard me struggling up the mountain. It was so well hidden I didnt even see it until I was way too close. I quickly backed out and I'm glad the mom wasnt around.

What a Father’s Day! Went on roughly an 8 mile hike with my girls today. Lots of steep and off camber areas with a ton of rocks. The picture below was the smoothest part of the hike. So proud, the 3 year old hiked 7 of the 8 and momma carried the sleeping 3 month old the whole way. Lots of cool flowers and got to top the day off with some amazing bulls at iPhone camera distance.

fathers day. Tailgate dinner with a view. Tried and failed to keep up with the kids on my mt bike while they rode a little 50cc bike they'd saved up for. Then let them ride their peddle bikes all the way home (7 miles, 2k of descent).

Been meaning to share this one of my grandson Jack and his Dad working cattle on their "day off". We are lucky to have Stephen for a SIL...works his tail off, dotes on his kids, and is good to our daughter.
