Sunday Pic of the Day

Walking our local sea islands near Edisto SC, I came across several piles of these, each scattered within a few square yards of each other. I know what they are and how they formed. Each is cone-shaped and extremely dense. Any guesses? :)

Looks like the remains of tree limb parts from inside the trunk. Find them all the time as drift wood in the river, usually full of turpentine which is why they are dense.

Yes sir, think I caught it a couple hours old...wet vac'd over 20 gallons, carpet cleaners should be able to mitigate the rest. PEX crew coming in the morning.
At least it wasn't cuz you did something dumb. I have an IKEA vanity in the laundry which has very rtardrd plumbing to accommodate a shelf underneath. Plugs up annually.
In taking the drain apart for cleaning I broke the strainer. This on a Sunday night. Last project of the day. Bonehead turned the water off but didnt remember to reconnect the waterline for the softener which drains in to the same trap. Bonehead had also hit the recharge button on the softener to recharge that night.
Bonehead shuffled in to the laundry next morning and got his feet wet.
Bonehead.

We had an in floor heat issue a bit ago. Hardwood floor, gypcrete and in floor heat. 9 years after we built the home the system failed and ruined the floor in the Master. A nail had penetrated the tubing but since it wasn't used as a primary residence for a while, it sealed and worked. More demand on the system exposed it. mtmuley
