Well since my son passed his hunters ed class he's been wanting to get out and do some small game hunting. Took the whole family out today to in area I always see rabbits and heck squirrels are everywhere at least it seems when sneaking thru the woods. My daughter didn't want to carry a gun for some reason so she just came along. Well we saw zero rabbits and 5 squirrels. He shot them all and was ecstatic to say the least. After cleaning I've decided we need bigger squirrels and he might need to start carrying the 22 instead of the 410. Great family day out we won't forget:)

Simply cannot beat those days in the field with the family!

The best grounding any hunter can have is being in the field and learning the basics on small game.

Hope he finds those rabbits next time out.

Looks like the perfect place for a family outing. I'm sure we'll soon be seeing some hero shots with your son holding onto some antlers. Congrats & good job!

Thanks for the smile! Got to share a double wide treestand with my daughter last night... we are blessed to be able to do this stuff with them. Great work guys!

What species are they? Doing some research for a squirrel slam. Seriously. I wouldn't be the first...

That's awesome, in MT you can shoot squirrels, rabbits, yotes etc. without any license or season. I plan on having my son broke in on those long before the legal age for big game hunting. Good for getting him out he looks stoked.
