I've run into more than a few gravesites in the woods.

Behind that "Road Closed" sign was a herd of elk we could hear talking from a half mile away! Killed my bull a couple months after a few ridges over from there.

After hiking 2 miles straight uphill to about 10,000' elevation in the Uinta Mountains this sign hardly seemed necessary, but ok.

I don't come across many back country signs in Alaska. An occasional mining claim notice, or trappers cabin permit.

Here are a few from New Zealand

This is an Abandoned Mines Land project in the Gas Hills of Wyoming. Dad grew up out there during the yellowcake boom, eventually working in the Mill, refining the uranium into cake. It's what eventually killed him.
