We had some friends over for a blind taste test and we all failed trying to tell the difference between grilled moose, sitka blacktail deer, or caribou (all grilled backstrap pieces). We did the same with sharptailed grouse, spruce grouse, and duck breasts...all dark meat birds that tasted the same grilled. Moose and elk taste similar to me, but I do not have discriminating taste buds...they all taste good!Just out of curiosity what does moose taste like? Anything like elk or antelope? That roast looks fantastic.
