Sharing a rifle

I make the guide carry two rifles for me.

Oops...can I say that here?

Only with prior approval of the "welcoming committee"...it's kind of like an HOA board. Lots of noise, but few listen.

I didn't realize your partner was your wife. My wife is going with me on my sheep hunt in October. She'll have a deer and an elk tags. I'm now considering sharing a rifle.

How did you convenience your wife that sharing a rifle meant she has to carry it?

How heavy was the pack as you started the hike outbound? I hike with 72# for training but have been over 100# for a few miles during hunts and wears on the knees a bit.

I packed sheep, rifle, and hunting stuff. The wife packed the camp. My pack was around 110-115.
