I haven't been on here much this lst yr life issues some time we get slapped in the face with a sponge well Septembers coming and I had a small ranch leased for the month the ranch owner is sending pics of nice bulls every few days
Im so looking forward to the break and getting into the mountains for some quite time, well hopefully not to quiet once they start talking
Ill keep ya all posted as I get their probably around the 10th till end of the season

Going to leave next week Im not to worried about the 1st week temps are going to be hi then cool off also the ranch does border BLM on east n north its pretty tough to get to except through the ranch but if their are folks on the public 1st week may just make em move into ranch even more
Now that being said im sure the rancher will send me pics this week of big ens laying all over lmao

Hey folks Im leaving middle of the week this coming week an been checking the live feed elk cam here in Pa to see if I hear any talking Ive only seen a few elk and 1 bull so far but havent heard a peep from our local elk
Has anyone that lives in elk country heard any talking yet this yr just wondering I know its still early but still wondering

Bumped a bull with 6 cows yesterday. In the evening I heard a bull bugle.

They were bugling last week in the high Cascades in Washington.

Speaking of September, my hunting partner thinks we need a 13th month in the year between September and October, would be great for us hunters.

I have a local elk herd around my house - graze in my backyard around my house.

A bull joined the cows around Thursday. He’s still quiet except for a bugle or two at night. I tried to bugle to him with no response. I did fire up the cow herd who invited me over to chat.

When the rut gets hot, there will be 6+ bulls hanging with the cows. One right now.
