SD pheasant opener

Here are a few pics from our opener. My oldest son, a neighbor and I headed out for the 11 am MDT opener.

We arrived at the spot early and waited....not sure who was more restless, the dogs or my 11 year old son.

Conditions were perfect. Steady breeze, with the everything damp from an overnight rain.

We head out and the dogs lock up tight!

Limits on roosters were easy enough, but didn't see a single sharp tail.

Unfortunately Clyde found a porky. Brings tears to his eyes.

Were you able to remove the porky quills or was a vet visit in order?

Seems clydes bloodline has a way of getting themselves into trouble!
Good job on the birds, hard to believe SD opens so soon.
