I like to score mine with a fat max. It seems to help with mass measurements. The rules state steel tape, right?

I was testing handloads today and a gopher stood by my target at 200m and I took a shrapnel pic.

I don’t like to be that guy that lowballs a great trophy to a hunter. It’s a real nice archery 6 point. Best case is 306 gross in my opinion from what I can see from those pics.

Wide - I’m guessing 43” inside.

I’d say 24” total mass per side.
43” beams
Average of both sides 13, 15, 9.5, 16.5, 10.5

I’d say 295-310gross, 290 net range.

Very nice Montana elk.

I don’t know about most people, but I would shoot that bull…

It’s a nice elk. Certainly a great archery elk. Will make P&Y record book. I’ve shot smaller, but I would not shoot it these days. Would take a cow later before shooting that bull. To each their own.

Wow! An amazing gallery here. Lots of real good guesses and a couple really bad guesses.

It is amazing how, like it was posted here, the score would be bigger on social media and smaller when it wasn’t your own.

That's all that really matters. Why would you want to suffer through tough for a couple of years?
