Rock Creek Bighorn Sheep pneumonia

Thanks for putting this up.
What a freaking waste.

Just curious - how is the pneumonia spread among the sheep? Is it a genetic thing spread through offspring and/or contact with other 'contaminated' sheep or other things?

I am far from an expert on the subject, but it's a virus. The wild sheep catch it from interacting from domestics, and then spread if to other wild sheep through interacting. Just like pneumonia works with humans.

For whatever reason though, sheep build no antibodies to the virus, so once they catch it, it takes it's course.

This coming from a guy with no natural immune system, that's gotten multiple stays in the hospital dealing with pneumonia, kinda hits home for me.
