Here are the fruits of our labors. Had a lot of walking today as it was opening day and the place was crawling with out of state vehicles. Didn't see a single in state vehicle today with the exception of a warden. They ran the roads and we walked into a watering hole and hunkered down while antelope ran around us all day. Shot both of these at just over 300 yards. One with a .243 and an 85 grain Barnes XLC and the other with a .270 and a 130 grain CT Ballistic Silver Tip. Both dropped with one shot to the boiler room, but the BST did much more damage to the meat. The Barnes went int and out taking out the heart and leaving a an exit hole no bigger than 1". Anyway 2005 a sucess. Second picture sums up the day.

KRs, DId you kill that antelope with the .243 you were haveing grouping problems with? Just wondering if you ever got the problem fixed. NIce antelope and great job shooting from those distances.

No, we didn't get around to shooting it this week. Got too busy. That particular rifle was my buddies anyway. I have a Remington 700 VLS with a heavy barrel that is shooting the XLC's into 3/8" at 100yds. One of these was at 319 yds and the other was at 306. We had a range finder and both goats are on video too. Was a great day.
