Relax, Everything is Going to be Okay!

You really have to ask?
I do. Because I think this is a really good, non political example, that doesn't have any "what about ism" response.

You can have policy disagreements with anyone. But there is no other American doing more harm to the republic, completely outside of policy or politics, than this current a hole. Have other people said bad things, sure, mean things, yep, but there has never been a sitting president that has gone so far out of his way to constantly try to tear us apart. Who constantly frames other Americans as the enemy... At least none that I'm aware of.

It's even more shocking to me is that the "type of people" (totally stereotyping here) who, in my experience, most believe in personal accountability and leadership through example as intrinsically valuable character traits, the type of people who, as parents instill those values into their kids, are so completely unwilling to do anything about- to even talk about it.

you know what's interesting, is i made a comment during the superbowl half time show how i really didn't care for the performance. it just wasn't my cup of tea, the singing sounded bad and the music was just not my thing. didn't care for it.

you could tell there was like a suck of air in the room as several people immediately assumed that statement of mine meant i was a MAGA goat )#$(*))@.

i dunno, just didnt care for it. that doesn't make it "bad" and it doesn't have to mean anything at all beyond the fact that, well, i didn't really like it. i had never heard of bad bunny until like 3 weeks ago. i went back to eating pizza and chips in the kitchen, basically what i did for the whole game anyway.

it's a weird world where simple opinions immediately cause others to assign one as an enemy or not.

anyway, all of it was better than The Who trying not to have a stroke for 15 minutes.

Welcome to HT...

I’ve felt that way about pretty much every Super Bowl halftime show in recent memory.

I watched it yesterday out of curiosity. It was a typical Super Bowl program except I didn’t understand the language. I did appreciate that he pointed out that Puerto Rico was without electricity for 6 months without US help. I do wonder after he pointed out PR’s sugar industry if a tariff on an American territory will occur.

I don’t have any issues with Turning Points alternative show. I don’t want to watch either show.

Correct. And...? Is it inappropriate for him to voice his opinion in that way?
Why do you ask first of all? Looks like I didn't mention anything about my opinion on the matter. I listened to several other Olympic athletes statements on sports radio. All I meant. mtmuley

Hard to understand tone/meaning on a forum. So I didn't know what point you were trying to make with me. I get it now.

It isn’t about policy. Hasn’t been for a while. Those that try to talk about policy are told they are being “elitist” and should stop talk down to people.

Clock on SS is ticking. With a single party controlling both houses of Congress and the White House, you would think a solution would be done. They care about the working people after all.
