Or maybe there's no conspiracy and the joke didn't land as intended while adding little to the discussion at hand.
Made me laugh. mtmuley, some of the pearl clutching
sorry, I have no insight on rationale for reporting.Rather it landed or not has nothing to do with it being reported which proves the soft pearl clutching.
Because of the fires? All roads to trailheads closed, all small campgrounds locked and closed.
I just find the whole thing odd, some of the businesses around Shaver Lake close on Tuesdays and Wednesdays like the deli and trading post. Everything else is open as normal cressmans general store was even serving up tri-tips this past weekend to customers getting fuel. So I dont understand I guess? My bro said he went up for scouting and opener in central Sierra.
Garnet fire shut down the southern boundary along the King's River. So he headed north to my old favorite area, north to the San Joaquin.

Spent a night @ Whitebark ,the only open area. Hard to see 100 yards with the smoke he said screw it and headed off the hill. Everything down to Huntington Lake burned last year and no business' where open. He was surprised my old cabin survived.
Everything down to Shaver Lake closed. None of the business' around Shaver open.
Memorial day weekend in the middle Sierra. No campgrounds or roads open. No business' open. Nothing til the bottom of the Mountain.
No Joke.
Well with that smoke I cant imagine it was the most fun hunting trip. I think we've all been in that situation and it isn't any fun for sure.He said the Dinkey area on down. The burger place in Shaver was closed.
Lakeshore resort and such.
But it could be he just failed to spot deer...LOL.

Digging a hole and burying waste is a foreign concept for an entire generation.“There’s poop just on top of rocks with toilet paper on top of rocks. It’s just a really crappy situation," she said. "“My daughter and I actually packed out 12 pounds of just toilet paper."
I see what they did there
A very high percentage of these articles highlight the poop. It’s always the poop…
Being respectful of the area (packing out what you take in, not defacing the area with graffiti, etc.) and just being a decent human being seems to be a foreign concept to most people. Lack of FS personnel isn't the problem, lack of character is. Not to mention the nod toward influence followers that have the common sense of a gnat's @$$. Fewer FS folks just prove the amount of crap they were having to put up with - figuratively and literally - from the masses. Shutting it down or requiring an access "appointment" with concurrent access fee makes sense.Digging a hole and burying waste is a foreign concept for an entire generation.
PLT because people are assholes? Where did I say PLT was needed? Are you really that dense? The article states:PLT because people are assholes? That’s a new take.
