I just saw a commercial about a hunting ranch with deer that were so big they didn't even look real. Im assiming they were pen raised or shall I say farmed. I don't know the rules on the entering into the record books we all know. Please tell me that farm raised animals do not qualify.

If the person signing the Fair Chase oath is honest, these pen-raised farm animals are not allowed in B&C or P&Y record books. They are allowed in the SCI record book.

almost positive they are NOT allowed in the BC or PY, they should not be there is alot of inhanced growth to those deer and elk

What about these guys back east who basically farm their deer by putting out food plots and mineral supplements to enhance antler growth? They also cull all but the biggest antlered bucks. This is unnatural. These deer should not be allowd in a record book either.

Thanks for correcting me schmalts. You are 100percent right. The word hunt should not be used with an operation like that.

Nor are alfalfa fields in NV... :D

People all over the country are hunting food plots or setting up on agricultural lands and it happens even by NV alfalfa, LOL! As long as they are free range animals that can come and go it's considered fair chase. If not, then only SCI allows them in their "Book" and they're under a separate listing as "Estate", which is a BS word for what the OP is asking about!
