completely agreed. And spot on.I'd check with guides (check references) and pay the money required for him. You and your brother can just go to hang out. That's what I would have done if I had a redo.
If he's like many dads, he'd let you guys take the first shots. Not quite the goal of the hunt for "him".
this place is nuts.Perhaps for entertainment purposes only, or if you win the lottery, check into Vermejo park ranch, a Ted Turner property in northern NM.
Bring it up with him. My dad isn't a big talker and doesn't ever ask for a thing (i'm sure many can relate). I assumed my dad wasn't that interested in it given that he never mentioned anything as I applied for tags and went on trips. I asked him recently if there were any outdoor trips (hunting/fishing) that he wish he had done, and he mentioned going on an elk hunt. Some times they just need a push to crack the door open for you.I was beyond excited last year to skip a few work hours and go quarter and help pack out my dad’s bull. No clue how many he has killed in his life but I’m confident he has more behind him than in front
I really wish he would decide to use some savings on a big hunt or two for himself before he can’t anymore
