paper wrap or vaccum seal

Oh that's a contributing factor for sure. I saw your first run experiment with that. I just need something for cleaning. Although I do have a tiny little spike skull plate in the freezer from a couple years back . . .
Honestly I’m looking forward to a bunch of whitetail does and giving the head cleaning a rest... can’t eat antlers
 
Freezer paper here. I used to plastic wrap before the freezer paper but I'm now back to just freezer paper and I don't see a difference on up to year old meat.
 
I've always doubled wrapped with freezer paper, just the cut meats. They go easy three years. Ground meat into plastic tubes, the same. Vac seal fish with water. Freezer burn is easy to spot, just slice it out, if it matters.
