Who's got it?

Only one week left. Seems like a lack of posts from you athletes.

The curling was riveting!

Not the usual interest in my household, however a girl from Rigby ID, that basically grew up at our local ski resort and used to snowboard with my daughter was in the slope style competition. Failed to make finals, but still pretty cool. Big party at the ski resort when she came back last week.

Hopefully the hockey ( mens and womens ) be worth watching

We have a running commentary during the events. The wife is amused, but the dog often leaves the room. She's pretty serious about the Olympics.

Really enjoy the sledding events. Women's Skeleton was a blast. Also have always loved speed skating.

Which one was in Slopestyle? Montana had three athletes go.

TJ Oshe used to play hockey for the semi-pro team here in Sioux Falls, but I didn't ever see him. He sure did an awesome job the other night against the Russians! Keep it up USA!

USA vs CANADA for the final! This will be an awesome women's hockey game! I think USA will take the cake. They have that growling aggression in their game.
Gold! USA!
Will be a great watch!

And our bogarting Colorado THC smokin snowboarding fiend tore up the park for the GOLD!

USA! USA! USA!

Men's and Women's 12k biatholon was impressive. Some serious impressive shooting and skiing taking place.

Agreed. I've always enjoyed the Biathlon.

Men's bobsled is always a let down after luge & skeleton. But it's still better than curling.

My wife and I went to the Olympic training center in Park City, UT this fall and watched a couple of teams train for the men's bobsled and some individuals on the luge and skeleton. All three are so much more insane when watching them in real life. Nothing like seeing someone with their chin an inch from the ice, while going over 80 mph.

Jessika Jensen is slope style boarder from Rigby ID. She finished just one position from making the finals. Really a good kid, community did a big program at the high school with her a few days before she left and then the big party at the local ski hill when she got back last week.

Looking forward to thursdays womens hockey final. I graduated with a masters last year from University of North Dakota and there are a set of twins from the UND team on the olympic team, so I feel like I have a little connection....no matter how small. GO USA

Olympians, twins, college days... and a small connection. You've let us down. On other news, I'm with ya on this game being one to watch.

NASCAR on frozen water molecules. Not a square millimeter or millisecond of ad-opportunity wasted.

Putin in the stands shirtless. Not enough cowbell or Kate Upton.

My thoughts exactly. I don't have much interest in the whole thing...except seening the Sochi Fails and The Onion Spoof of Olympic Village. Not to mention my NBC provider (Great Falls) doesn't provide HD and the audio sounds like an AM radio.

+1. Seems like the Olympics are getting more and more disconnected from mainstream sports. What was once a game for amateurs has turned into a game IMO that is primarily for the wealthy. Lets face it, average kids in most American cities do not play most of these obscure sports like curling or skeleton. The kids who play these sports in America are kids with wealthy parents who can afford for their kids to not work real jobs and instead spend the year practicing for these competitions. Couple that with Olympians such as hockey players who are playing in the NHL or other pro leagues making hundreds of thousands of dollars and in some cases millions of dollars to play. Then add in the Olympic athletes who are paid to compete for another country and wealthy people like Gary di Silvestri and his wife who are nearly 50 who gained citizenship in Dominica so they could compete in the Olympics for them. At that point the games have changed considerably over the years from their original intent.
