Got my license today.......I am officially an Indiana resident again. MAN, does it feel good!!!

VERY much so. I have been in CO 17 years (had to make serious drug deals in the Army to get there) and the last 10 have gotten increasingly hard to just live a normal life day to day. I love the mountains, but I can visit them. Hunting in CO is getting harder (along with my points becoming basically worthless as of the new system) and will only get worse in the near future, it is monumentally more expensive, no family or friends to speak of out here, and the kids won't be here (one is in Nashville the other is soon to move to WI). If you could have taken about 1/2 to 2/3 of the people out of the state (in the Den, FoCo, Boulder, Aurora metroplex) it would be a closer call. Tonight I sit in my cabin, looking over my pond.

Not yet....have to keep going back and forth until the wife can retire next year. Even then I may find something else around here to get me out of the house a little here and there.

We are getting the hell out of CO as soon as we sell our house. Headed to the sanity of WY…the kind of sanity CO will never know again in my opinion.

Even without the traffic in Denver that distance is ridiculous....to even ask that is crazy. I have been lucky enough to take advantage of the WY goodness a couple of times and appreciate it greatly. In IN now my bundle tags just went from $550 to $91 for the bundle (buck and 2 does) and I can pick up 2 more does if I want.

I do need to get to NZ at some point for sure. Tahr are about as beautiful as animals get. Tried to get the wife to get on board so she could do some touristy, wine-y stuff but she "meh'd" it because of the flight. She has lost her adventurous side

mid feb is a great time for stripping reds and chamois. get dropped in by heli then cruise the tops n camp as you move
