Northern NY adventures with crossbowguy

Dad and Josh went 3 for 3 today on Salmon with close to 60 pounds of total fish weight and the largest was 21+ pounds. So this week they have a 10+ pound walleye and a 20+ pound Salmon under their belts. Dad was hurrying up and heading home to get the salmon cleaned and ready for canning! He will probably freeze the tail sections for the grill and can the rib meat. Good job fellas!!!!!!

Dad went fishing for salmon again today with no luck, so they will probably shift back to filling the freezer with walleye fillets!

The food plots are doing decent but could always be better. Hopefully we will get a long growing season.

The bucks are showing up on camera now that we have had time to check them, or I should say, now that my buddy had time to check his! Mine are still to home and I’ve been laid up post surgery, but getting stronger every day. As for the bucks the average joe’s guys can attest they are pretty decent for northern NY.

More preparation and pics to follow! Good luck all!!!!

Well I’m able to drive again so I went up to camp to see how some of the plots were doing and saw a doe and a fawn in the plot my wife and I planted. It’s always good seeing deer during daylight hours!!!!!

My cousin who is more like my brother has been busy making us another nice stand to sit in on the farm I grew up on during the cold blustery days in late deer season in northern NY. I hope to test that out very soon!!
