A great deal of my fishing time has been spent behind a fly rod, laying down dry flies on high mountain rivers and streams. I've been broadening my horizons a bit this year. A recent day off found me in a scabland lake with the local Cinnamon Teal residents.

This is a canoe I picked up for free. I did some fiberglass work on it, a new paint job is next.

These were the lures du jour.

If you find me and help me get unlost, I may have a beer for you.

Here are some of the fish.

Great pictures! I'm a fly-fishing guy at heart, but I've spent more and more time this year on warm water (using both spin and fly gear).

Anything that allows you to spend more time in the woods or on the water is a good thing. Some folks are missing out on golden opportunities (many of them very close to home) by being too stubborn on a given method (fly vs. spin, bow vs. rifle, trout vs warmwater). Enjoy it all!
