Just learned that DJ Jr. Is a board member on the group Hunter Nation. DJ Jr. posted his disagreement with the public lands sale and desire to pull it from the bill.

I don't know if I'm the last one to catch this, but it's now making sense where that group came into play.

I don’t think that group did a damn thing. He is on board. Do you think that board ever meets or talks? That entire group is basically Keith Mark and another wealthy attorney along with Ted Nugents money. Sorry if I seem callous. This group brings nothing but negativity to our image as hunters.

DT Jr and Hunter Nation taking credit after the fact is not surprising. Credit goes to Randy and all the groups and public land users that have been applying pressure from the beginning.

I think Don Jr. helped, and I think he is on our side. I'm ok with the president's son being a hunter who has direct access to Mike Lee.

I'd be less diplomatic and gracious than he is on his IG post, but I think he did things that helped the cause.

It seems people are making him an enemy because of his last name.

I'd rather hunt private than public if I had equal access to the same amount of each.

I haven't been shot with a turkey load in public, but have been shot over twice.

As chair of the Energy and Natural Resources committee, Sen. Lee’s office did a lot of work on the BBB that did not relate directly to public land sales. Trump’s post is probably referring to that rather than Lee’s ill-fated pet project.

Here is how he responded on IG to the same criticism.

I think Lee is a snake. I don't trust him. I wouldn't be diplomatic with him if I was in a room with him. I would, as he states, crap all over him.

But, we have someone who can get in the same room as him who is on our side, but he tried to do it diplomatically...maybe that's a win despite the fact that most of us would have told Lee to eat a turd and walked out.
