Newest US Senate Land Sale Amendment

what is the man's obsession with throwing the Marxist word around? does he not realize that average american doesn't even know what that is?
It really is an interesting move, likely out of desperation. I don’t discount the fact that there are actual Marxists on the far left of the political spectrum here in the U.S. Look no further than the Colorado General Assembly and state Democratic Party where you can easily find quite a few. But attempting to label folks like Ryan Zinke, Steve Daines, and Matt Walsh, along with members of orgs like RMEF, WSF, CSF, and SFW, as Marxists is just utterly ridiculous. Really calls into question his credibility.

Lee is all over X trying to justify his position; I think he's feeling the heat.
Yes, he is now having to get on the media circuit just to keep his base of media supporters on his side. The heat is intense. Most of those he could normally rely on in Congress are giving him the, "WTF did you drag us into" treatment.

In the games required to get bills passed in Congress, Lee has created a huge distraction. In spite of warnings that they were underestimating the blowback on a big public land sale, nobody was willing to oppose Lee's desires. Now, they have a huge distraction to their Big Beautiful Bill that hardly any of them feel is worth it.

Please, keep calling and putting pressure on. My texts this morning are very positive. He's gonna burn a ton of political capital on this one, and hopefully ends up with nothing to show for it.

Glenn Beck has made a couple posts on Facebook defending Lee and refuting Matt Walsh. Getting pretty scorched in the comments.
Another sign of desperation. If the best Lee can do in the right wing media space is Glenn Beck, then he really is struggling. Glenn Beck is a has-been, so late 90s-early 2000s. Folks like Matt Walsh, Charlie Kirk, and Ben Shapiro are the relevant voices in the right wing media spaces these days.

I belong to some other "left" groups due to enjoying hiking. I think it was Washington Trails Association that is opposing the land sell-off with a petition campaign instead of a letter campaign. I suspect a high petition support count will at least cause some Rs to pause, so I signed it. I think it helps to petition your Ds if that is your congressional representation (that is also the case for me). The Ds will have political relationships with some of the more middle of the road Rs. Who know, maybe getting your Ds onboard my swing that last R vote needed. Worth a try. When I reached out to my congressional representation, I did not use the BHA or RMEF form letters. I thought a personal email highlighting some of my non-hunting pursuits would better serve the cause. Who knows... maybe wishful thinking but it made me feel better.

I am not sure how everyone feels about this, but I suspect if you own property or have interests (hunting clubs, etc.) in another state, say like Utah, it's reasonable to assume that state's congressional representation works for you indirectly. Maybe it would be appropriate to reach out to that state's reps?

I saw that as well. Beck is totally missing the mark. I don't believe I saw one comment supporting his message.
The thought crossed my mind if Beck was somehow paid to promote this. Just hard for me to see the other side, like stated above when you have basically all the prominent conservation/hunting organizations in opposition of this how do you defend this stance?

(My) Senators Rosen & Cortez Masto sent me to voicemail

Crapo staffer actually picked up (I have a Nevada area code). No public statements re: Lee's proposal per staffer.

Risch - voicemail

Thune - voicemail
