New National Park Proposed

Seems as if a couple of our congressional folks, thinking out side the box, have suggested that we declare sites on the moon as National Parks. Jointly administered by the Interior Dept and NASA, this will preserve the landing sites of the various Apollo missions for future generations of Americans.

I remember reading some years ago that NASA had sold the lunar rover and a few other items left behind.Anyone know anything about that?
