New Mexico emails are going out! For real!

I just haven't heard anybody say that they were informed that they didn't draw a NM elk tag...

Yeah but I have a strong feeling the rest of us are like fat chicks and NO one has asked us to dance.

I do have a dink dog deer tag for southern New Mehico for next January. I would still trade 3 of them for a elk tag though.

It looks like Baerman and I will be Muzzler elk hunting in NM this year as well. Anybody have any good recommendations on a gun to purchase?

Since I only got the one email on the elk tag I was pretty sure that's all I drew, but I checked this morning and I'm green on my 3rd choice deer tag as well! I'll get to hunt the same place I've hunted the last two years and hopefully get the benefit of passing some 160 class bucks last year!

I tried explaining to the bank teller when I was depositing my "warrants" from Colorado and Idaho for unsuccessful draws that I was disapointed in getting the refunds and would have prefered to have received a tag instead and she looked at me like I was insane.

I should be getting $5,080 back from New Mexico, PLUS a deer and an elk tag, a MUCH better option than getting it all back!

Those are some nice muzzleloaders! Thanks for the input but I'll probably lean towars the newer, high powered, scope mounted, increase my odds as much as possible type.

Im doin new mex deer with my lyman great plains .54,,,about $500 new,ive been shooting the hunter version with 1 in 32 twist,doesnt seem to shabby,I have a traditions inline and cant get it to shoot as well as the lyman.
