New Griffon coming along well

I picked him up last December. He is now just shy of 10 months old. He loves the water and is retrieving to hand. His point is also getting solid.

My last Griff passed away one year ago yesterday. I sure do miss the Griffs roaming in my house & hunting with them. True family friends. Good luck with your Griff and may he bring you as much joy as did my Griffs.

If I lived a little further north, and had some birds for a dog to point, a Griff would definitely be on my short list. As it is, if we ever get some quail back around these parts, I might go with a DD/GWP.

I've always had Chessies which served me well in the islands but now with three small girls I wanted a hunting dog with a better temperament The Chessie does fine with them but he gets irritated easily so is constantly moving to stay away from them and were tired of cleaning hair in the house. The Griffon is excellent with the kids plus he is their first puppy.
