Unlike T-bone that said he didn't train and actually did, I said I didn't train.. and unfortunately I didn't. I had good intentions and did start early on but the last 2 months have sucked !! I had a broken hand to give me an excuse and now a smashed toe. Both my fault. I knew I shouldn't have been goofing around bowling. That being said, I'm still gunna give it a wirl.

This week I'm going to look for a wetsuit and a Bike. I'll probably get me some running shoes and some Biker shorts.

Other then that, I'll just need some Oxygen :D

1-pointer, you ready yet ? I would have bet against you but I'm not sure that would be a good bet now. I hope you are wearing something floresant so I can see you up ahead !!! I'll be as tight as I can on your tail Amigo !!!!

I'm not too far off where I wanted to be at this time, but I guess I'm as ready as can be expected. You know what'll sorta chap my arse is that even though I've done pretty good following my planned workouts I'll probably still put up a crappy time and get beat beat by you!! Oh well, its all in good fun...

Don't know about wearing something flourescent, but I shouldn't be too hard to pick out of the crowd. It's not like I'm real typical of the folks doing these...

Good luck Fatty, I too will be doing something that weekend. I am entering in my first ever "race" a 90 mile bike road race. My goal is to just finish in the top 80% of my age class and top 60% overall. Keep me posted on your results. WEEEE gonna sweat that day bro!:D

Anne Trygstad, at 59.. beat me by a few seconds in 2002, took a couple nasty tumbles right in front of me on the last rough part below the M.. blood pouring out of her.. she just jumped up and kept running down the mtn. That is one TOUGH ass woman. Her daughter won it for the girls last year in 4:12.. but isn't running this time due to an injury. The old lady is amazing. I'll beat her, but she's 65! I got her last year by 15 minutes or so. I'm hoping for my best time.. a handful of chicks will beat me.. no doubt, but hopefully less than ever before.

Some pretty cool stuff on that site. I was wondering who you guys were talking about that beat you but now I know it was back in 2002. Good luck and break the top ten in your age group this year.

Here's a handful of the chicks that I know got me last year.. humbling to say the least. The first one is the Trygstad girl that won for the womens.

Jose.. figured you'd want to see all the freckles, etc.

Coming off Sac Peak, the gal in the turquoise shirt slipped right front of me and I caught her. She said thanks then took off and I never saw her again. :(

From the looks of your photos, the view from your position behind them must not have been too bad! Or was that your plan?

actually it's damn frustrating when you feel like you are doing great and some cute little girl comes cruising along and you cannot keep up. But it's not nearly as bad as having a 60 year old woman blaze on by..

I don't care who is passing you....you finish a race like that and you got my respect! Best of luck and hope you get the time your shooting for! I ran in the Berlin 1/2 marathon in April, barely made my goal of finishing in under 2 hours. That was long enough for me.......and it was flat!

Yea, there is nothing lower than getting "chicked" in a sport event.
when I did that 105 mile ride a couple chicks beat us to the finish. But.. we did fix 2 flats and they didn't but still it is amazing what some chicks can do with those ass muscles

Ass muscles ?!?!? I think they pinched his nose....If your nose to toes your nose is in and if you're toes to nose your nose is in ;)

1-pointer, It's 11:18 and I jsut realized I didn't call you back again. I had a crazy afternoon. Tomorrows mellow. I'll drop you a line then. I've decided this week wasn't the week to start training and next week I don't want to be sore. I will try to get out sat to swim once in my new Wetsuit. I actually want to make sure I can get in and out of it.

Greeny, That last chicks Picture of her Right leg has some crazy muscle going on. WOW !!! Unlike you thats setting a goal, I was gunna bag but decided to try to at least complete it. Maybe being humiliated will change my workout rutine ?@?@? Although if 1-pointer beats me by too much I might go into a twinky coma over the next few months :p
