My new elk cartridge

I know you are kidding but I have seen the insides of an antelope shot with a 30 grain kindler gold and it was quite impressive. Had I not been with the guy that did it I would not have believed the damage was done by a 30 grain bullet. Also seen a heavy bodied mule deer buck taken with a 35 grain Berger from a 204 after the guy missed the buck 4 times with his 6mm Remington. It was about 200 yards and was broadside chasing does when we got back on it. It stopped and he hit it in the crease. Buck stumbled 20 yards and fell. Found out later his leupold was knocked off about 8”s high.

When I was talking coyote loads for my .204 with Steve at Hammer, he thought the 31 gr HH would be fine for deer and hogs. I know that's against conventional wisdom, but he has lots of experience with small calibers in Africa.
