BEAR DOWN!!! This is my beautiful cinnamon sow!!! Not sure of the weight yet, but she was old. One of her canines was broken and the front teeth were all worn down so she didn't have much left in her. I feel truly blessed to have taken my 6x6 bull in 3 hours and then this big girl a couple weeks later. This was the second bear we'd taken that day. the first was at 7:15 in the morning and my bear was taken at 6:15 in the evening. Thanks to my dad for teaching me how to do this!!

I'm having a rug made and bleaching the skull. My wife would kill me if I send anything else to the taxidermist. My tab is growing by the day!!

I apologize for the gruesomeness of the photo too. My intention was not to be disgusting and that turns me off myself. This was just the better of the photo's we'd taken since it was so late.

Thanks guys! Ha, yeah I still got the Wolf tag! Man would that be incredible. I actually did a little bow hunting for mule deer too, but it ended in three blown stalks and some great lessons learned. I love hunting!!

Wow, you ain't messin' around this year. Congrats on a great season, so far. Don't you have a deer tag to fill?

Thanks again guys! Just a little update, I only got 28 lbs of meat from her...boooo! I guess my 300 WSM pounded one of the rear haunches pretty good so that meat was gone. She's a little over five feet though and a very nice chocolate. What a beauty. I'll be biting down on some bear roast once the trichanella test comes back. At least I think that's what it's called.

Big Fin - Not sure the wife will let me fill that deer tag...I'll be the one changing diapers and putting the little guy to sleep on Saturdays from here on out I think. Not that I'm complaining.
