A little late but finally getting around to share a few snaps of my season on public lands. I will keep it short. I had some great hunts both solo and with family and friends. I hunted ND, SD, MT, and NV twice. I did two solo trips to NV for deer and antelope which were 20+ hours one way each, away from home. Two adventures I will never forget. My dad drew a SD antelope tag and it was the worst hunt quality wise I've ever been on(even worse than MT general deer! :) ). We still had a blast as always but man, the struggle was real! I got lucky and tagged out on opening morning for MT elk.

Due to other hunts this year I didn't have any time to bowhunt in my home state but was able to finally get out on the last day of the season and make it happen. Woke up at 4 a.m. and drove for 4 hours. Made a good 30 yard shot on a buck and the blood trail was amazing. Living so far away from mule deer country sucks but you just make the most of it.

I'm very grateful for public lands and the ability to be able to get out and do this each fall! Time to start sending in apps for 2019. Good luck all!

Very excellent. I noticed the Killer Bees...if you ever stop by Melvin's brew pub in Jackson, the Thai wings are superb.

Nicely done Blake!

A six'er of Killer Bees was all that got me through a weak ass Super Bowl yesterday.

That looks like one heck of a season. Congratulations.

You must be single with no kids because if I were to go on that many western hunts in one year my stuff would be out in the yard when I got home. I’m a little jealous of you honestly.

Thanks!

Ha! Nope, married with a little one. Most of my hunts are weekend hunts. I will gladly drive 10 + hours one way to hunt for 1 or 2 days.

That Muley with a kicker is cool for not a huge deer . Adds character . Congrats on the fun season

The road, then the truck silhouetted after dark are stellar images!

Is that northern lights or something else?
