A small addition to my quest last year. I ended up in the ER a few weeks ago. Pain. Abdomen area. Nausea. Turns out I had a kidney stone lodged at the exit point of my left kidney. Had never had a kidney stone then realized that is what I dealt with while on my first attempt in 316 last October. I thought was altitude sickness with some dehydration, exhaustion and some pain from a couple of tumbles. I am absolutely positive I passed a kidney stone about Day 5. Makes no difference on my outcome as the mountain kicked my rear but I will say passing the one this summer was more fun with the pain meds and the meds to dilate the passageway a bit.
