Hopefully the picture works. This is a quick summary of some hunts that our volunteers from Billings and Livingston helped put together. I believe we had 6 of the 8 kids kill their first birds. Some of these kids have never even hunted, so this was pretty awesome. I had the pleasure of taking a couple veterans through the Wishes for Warriors foundation, along with Jana Waller from Skull Bound TV. The place we hunted had the birds, but the days we hunted were not great. 30+mph wind one day, and spitting rain/snow the next. The two hunters we took have never been to the Big Sky, and still enjoyed just getting out in some new country. The had both been on the raw end of an IED and were hurtin units after the walking we did, but they were troopers and smiled the whole time. Their hunting time was short, and we were unable to harvest anything, but our mission of getting those fellas out of their routine life was definitely accomplished. Looking forward to doing this again next year, and expanding the hunt across the state.
