Montana 327 vs 331 for Elk

I have been mostly hunting 327 for elk I am not displeased with it and there are some areas mostly on the west side of 327 I know fairly well. I have been looking closely at 331 though am being tempted to try it All I am looking for is either one is better or stick with what you know. I have a tendency to want to hunt everywhere but am becoming a believer in finding one area and getting to know it.

HD 327 is a good district, but then again so is HD 331. I, personally, would stick to what you know for a more “serious hunt” and then pick a date (say a weekend) to explore HD 331. I don’t think you could go wrong getting to know another area. It would give you options later.
You raise a good point regarding sticking with what you know, but bottom line is you will have to go where the elk are located. Some districts can offer a better opportunity of harvesting an elk than others.
