This weekend was my 5 day weekend to hunt. On Friday, I went for what someone of my rotundness would be considered a death march. I proceeded to come down with the flu and was laid up Saturday and Sunday. This morning I got up, hell bent on achieving at least a half-assed morning hunt...

I drove up the road to a state section this morning to shoot a couple of times. I forgot about the youth hunt till I saw a truck parked there. I decided that I couldn't do it so I drove up to the main parking and buried the human excrement, picked up garbage, and fixed the wire that was shot in two for the second time in 10 days.
God I am glad that I was born 60 years ago when there were still deer and the parking lot shitters lived somewhere else.

This is pretty funny. The sad part is I would rather hunt Mule Deer in MT than ND... NDGF and MFWP must consult each other on the best strategies to keep those success rates at 70-80%. Since that seems like the only measure they use to define a "quality hunt"
