MN Goose opener

Went out this morning with a buddy to our favorite spot and we had our opening day limit in lil less then an hour and a half. The first flock sure was pretty coming in circled the decoys 3 times before we shot and took 7 with 6 shots.

Where in Minnesota?? I always see tons of geese around Rochester.

The trick to hunting the golf course is to leave your cart and a scare crow with a pitching wedge out there so the geese have something to aim for.
We are up here in the metro area over by the st croix river

I used to hunt some of the sod field here in the north metro. Opener was always good. The Molt Migration was always Awesome. Just had to pick up the spent shells and find as many of the wads as possible. Great work! Slow pulled BBQ Canada Goose sandwiches are the best!
