I love the nostalgia of baseball and can't imagine not having an ump to call balls and strikes, but you are correct. It would be super easy to implement. Hell, we already have it for everyone watching on TV.

I’m not sure if I can get behind electronic calls but I’m all for strike challenges. As bad as they are some times I just feel like umps are part of the game.

Did you see the twins game recently where the umpire ‘missed’ 22 ball/strike calls during the game? 17 went against the twins. They lost 3-1.

Honestly, he is so bad that I would prefer to find out it’s intentional and he’s bribed to do it because that level of unbridled incompetence is frightening.
