Merganser

I am hunting california and I cant seem to find what the limit of Common Merganser can anyone help?

Are you serrious? People actually try and hunt/kill them nasty things?

first time hunting are they not a good bird to eat, our season opens tomorrow and i went out to look for birds and thats all i found saw a hen mallard I think. Still working on my identification. going out this evening to see if more are out.

What Babistew said! Now as far as Identifying Ducks, take the Duck in your Left hand and Open Field and Stream's Guide to North American Waterfowl with your right hand and you should be pretty sure of Identifying your Duck. Hope this helps. John
