Loose outer horns

I have a few older shoulder mount antelopes on which the outer horns have become detached from the inner horns. What is the best way to readhere them without risking any damage to the surrounding fur?

On the European mounts I have done I used auto body bondo to reattach them. With a shoulder mount the trick would be not using too much and getting excess on the hair. No matter what you use that will be an issue...

I've used Shoe Goo. Just because I always have it handy.

Shoo Goo sounds easier, no mixing. Maybe I'll goo that way.

The easiest thing to do is wrap enough paper towels around the core and then slide the outer horn back on, no mess, and then the outer shells can be removed for transport if you ever move.
