Am loving this thread, I have no elk around me locally. Hope and pray I get drawn this year for elk.

Hey Dinkshooter.....the background of a lot of your awesome photos have hillsides of 1/2 dead trees. Beetles? What will that area be like in 1,5,10 years I wonder?

Based on the current Colorado snow pack I would guess it might look like charcoal briquettes by next October.

Yes Pine Beetles killed a lot of trees from Central to Northern Colorado in the last 10 years.

I want to see who is alive after packing that pack out?! 2 hind quarters????? No way.

That is how I was introduced to my first pack out with my dad. There may be two shoulders. I. Don't remember. But I'm still alive.

I'm using a Canon 20D and 100-400L lens. I looked at some of the other guys and I think they are nice P&S cameras. I couldn't tell what all the cameras were though.
