This fine Rio Grande was harvested by a 12 yr old on Easter Sunday a.m. west Of Boise in a controlled hunt zone.
I'd called 6 longbeards into gun range before he whacked this terrific 3 yr old plus bird and all between 7 a.m. & 7:25 a.m. We had gun/shooter malfunctions, birds too close, you name it but this mentored youth went home with a stunning bird. 10.5" beard, 1 1/4" spurs and probably north of 20#
got home in time for church!

That's awesome! My 5 year old grandson is begging to go on our turkey hunt this weekend but mom won't let him yet. He practices with the turkey, duck and goose calls all the time. Calling in toms is about as fun as it gets. Good job.
