Lets talk 300WSM bullets

Moral of the story is we have a lot of very good bullets to choose from anymore. Find one that shoots good in your rifle and have at it.

180 AB. The Tikka likes them Elk do not. I ended up with 76 gr of Magpro. I couldn't get over 2900 with 4350 or 4831. Brass is hard to find unless you want to drop and arm and a leg on Nosler. I got lucky and walked into a Fleet Farm this winter and they had 270 wsm and 300 wsm Win brass 3 bags each. They sold out right there.

Have had good luck fire forming win nickel factory 300 WSM & reloading Superformance/180 AB...also use the 180 AB in a 300 Win Mag

I have a Browning A Bolt and tried 180 E-tips from Nosler with Win 760 and RL 17, didn't get the groups I would be pleased with. Next up was Nosler 180 Acubonds, stayed with Win 760, groups were in the 1.5-2 inch range, just didn't work for me. 3rd time up is the Barnes 165 TSX BT, using the same Win 760 I am getting .8-.9 inch groups at 100. This I can use and will keep on file as I use the summer to dial in something else maybe.

I want to try my AB's with a different powder, same for the E-Tips. I also have some 180 TSX BT's to try. But for now the 165's are working.

Shoot Barnes TTSX 168 with 57 grains of RL15 out of my Tikka T3 and get great groups and it knocks down everything it hits.
