Kitty, Kitty....

Unbelievable! I've always wanted to do a cat stalk. Finally saw one this past summer. Elusive creatures. It may work for management, but treeing cats with dogs can barely be described as hunting. No dogs just seems impossible. Maybe someday I'll give it a decent attempt.

Curious if you think had you not shot the first time, could you have treed him on your snowshoes?

I'm in great shape but I'd lean towards... not a chance... even in deep snow.

Obviously you could jump a cat or see it moving ahead of you though, although I think the chance is very slim. This is only the second time I've ever jumped a cat. The other was on a kill...

It was a Savage.... Although its been extremely cold, a few mornings pushing -40 F, although it was probably -10 F at the time
