KE question

(484X290)squared /7000x32 should give you the ft. pound seconds of KE for that set up. (I think.. if I remember all the math correctly.)

One kinetic energy calculator shows 90.41 ft/lbs of KE. I'd say that's plenty for anything.....anywhere.. I'm guessing you're shooting a higher poundage bow to get 290 fps with heavier arrows????

Shooting a Mathews Black Max2 @70lbs..........Arrows are Carbon Express terminators 6075's with quick spin fletching and 100gr Shuttle-T lock broadheads. They are flying much tighter than my previous set up. A little slower but much more consistent.

Man you could kill a water buffalo with tha KE!! i think i remember i was only getting about 68KE on my setup. that black max is a smoking fast bow, i have heard some guys having trouble tuning that beast though.

I've never had much problems with broadheads at all. I actually switched broadheads (shuttle-t locks) after seeing them in action on an archery elk hunt this year. So far they are darts..........
