Well, it's not the rifle i was after, but i'm still happy with it.

Weatherby Mark V Weathermark LT in 7mm Weatherby Magnum.

I was looking at the Mark V Hunter. But the more i handled one, the more i disliked the stock.

Then i saw about the Mark V Ultra Lightweight. Had to save up more money. Got the money for that, only to find Weatherby discontinued it! Like 2 months ago.

Plan for this Mark V is 175gr ABLR ( Thanks @chevyman181 !!) over a charge of RL33.
Peterson brass & Redding dies on their way from Grafs.
EGW one piece 20MOA base & their low Practical rings on the way.
For this season, i'm going to be swapping some scopes around on a couple of different rifles. Will put a Burris Fullfield IV with MOA reticle on it.
Thinking of getting the rings Ceracoated for next year.

Nice. But be careful with the LRAB and close range impacts. mtmuley
???
Really?
I thought that was part of the design criterea?
Good long range performance (some mushrooming down to 1,300fps) and bonded to hold together at close range.

I wouldn't mind shooting a somwhat heavy mono (150-160gr range), but Weatherby's 1:10 twist severly limits that!

I shot a Bull at about 80 yards with a 210 moving 3150fps at the muzzle. He was headed right towards me so I held under his chin. Bullet came apart and I had to shoot him with my pistol. Went right back to the regular Accubond. mtmuley
Dang that’s crazy…
You gotta photo with the bull and your pistol? I didn’t notice you post in the “trophy pics we don’t care for” thread!? 😜

7 Wby Mag has .378 Freebore.

Try the 160 gr. Partition or 160 gr. Accubond. You won't have issues with close range impacts or out there at distance. Great bullets.

Perhaps, but i don't have either of these.
I killed two antelope and a whitetail with the 210 LRAB. All at over 300 yards. No issues. I also have killed several bulls under 100 yards with the 200 Accubond at 3200 fps with no issues. I trust the standard Accubond at close range. mtmuley

They have a new design I will get to see next week on our antelope hunt. It was used in Africa with great success. mtmuley
I heard from someone they were trying out ◼️◼️◼️◼️◼️◼️◼️◼️◼️ Information redacted. Is that along the same lines?

Weatherby loads the 140 TTSX and the 160 Nosler Partition in it's 7mm Wby Mag factory loads (among others). The TTSX ought to be a screamer.
