Well I'm turning the big 60 this year.
My wife worries about me hunting alone.
Even though I give her coordinates of where I plan to be before I leave the house.
I sometimes go to a different spot if the need arises. Or I get a wild hair.
I have been known to go several miles from the truck.

So, is your wife tracking you?
And not for the nefarious reasons!

Garmins Inreach has an option for you to start a track and send the link to whoever. I believe it updates every 15 min.

Yep, at my prime age of 81 yo ... my wife clips the fully charged MiniGarmin to me when I head out to hunt or hike solo. She also requires a photo and a thumbs-up when I can get cell service.
Her spirit sign is the bear ... so if I get attacked, she wants a photo of the bear before I expire. :D

Maybe don’t go hiking in grizzly country if your wife is pissed before you leave to hike?

I don’t think teleportation and shape shifting is real but you can never be too careful…..😏 😂

No most of the time she is everywhere with me hunting beside me...

Yep with the InReach. And if I don't have service for a call one message every evening. That's what she needs for peace of mind so no big deal.

Now we've had 3 arguments on locations she doesn't want me hunting in for safety Mexico, NM border units, and Africa. I won one (Africa), lost one (Mexico), and never got the NM tag so didn't matter. My wife thinks if you leave the US your basically asking to die🤣.

Yes. I slid off an unknown 10’ cliff grouse hunting a few years ago. One of the dogs went off the edge too. Slide was enjoyable thinking I’d hit tree line and stop. Nope - off an unseen cliff. Dog and I came limping into the house and my wife freaked out when she saw how black and blue I was. Somehow both hips were deep purple. None of my excuses worked so I agreed to let her track me.
