Is your mall crawler ready to go?

Priced tires and an alignment today🥲. I think I’m putting those off a month or so until after an overtime check. I need to check with a different tire shop as it seems they may be cheaper than the local Les Schwab
Schwab is great, but they are a fair bit more expensive than anywhere around here. Hard to beat the customer service though.

I use Discount Tire.

They don’t do alignments though. I had that done today at a local shop.

Ahhh nice to read comments from fellow Mechanic/Backyard Mechanics . I wrenched for a few years and it wasn't great pay but I learned alot.

Currently I have a 5th gen rav4 in need of some fluid changes front to back (trans/transfer/diff). Brakes are Akebono pads and PowerStops for rotors that I did last summer.

My go to hunting vehical/mall crawler is my 2010 corolla with 268000 on the odo. Sucker will not die(I won't let it) and by God with some decent studded snows I can get anywhere these overpriced trucks can go....... mostly ... 😂

I think when she finally dies ill break down and get a taco like everyone else 🙄😅✌️.

Oh yea, today’s tire rotation said I need brakes and tie rod ends badly. Hooray
I always hated taking my Dodge in for an alignment. It was rare I ever took it in where it didn’t need something in the front end replaced.

Knock on wood, I just had my Tundra aligned yesterday. Still the same front end parts as when I bought it 100k miles ago.

The wife says we need a new hot water heater. Luckily we have money squirreled away for that one
I got nauseous when I opened one bid, then I made a few phone calls. Very happy to be in the business I am, now the bids are 60% of that first one.

Back to the original purpose of the thread… my truck is back from the shop, again. Still not “right” - the bed still isn’t straight and it pulls to the right. I’ll be taking it to a second shop to fix what the first shop couldn’t get right, twice.

I need elk season, and in a hurry.

Awesome work! What's your thoughts on that jack your using? Im looking to buy one eventually.
It’s brand new, but I like it a lot so far. I usually don’t have concrete to work on, and it’s easy to get a lot of height out of it for taller pickups and trailers. HF floor jacks are some or their better products I think.
