In our primary the republican nominee was Zach Lahn. According to his bio he is currently a business owner and spends time in Kansas. He was high up in the Americans for prosperity- Montana. Not knowing much about the gentleman, but having heard of Americans for prosperity from hunttalk and knowing of all the good Montana folk here, I figured this was a good spot to learn a thing or two. Being a firm believer in history repeating itself does anyone have an idea what we can expect from this candidate?

Anything connected to Americans for prosperity in MT is prosperity = money. Resources = commodities. Nothing is worth anything until you sell it and folks who make the most money deserve the most access to resources.

Lahn is pretty well unknown in Iowa right now. It will be interesting to see what they dig up. The dems have a guy from my area, who is currently the state auditor. His moto is “not bluer, not redder, just truer”He was on the meateater podcast a few weeks ago for shooting a 209” whitetail in the Des Moines urban deer hunt. He carries an 870 to pheasant hunt.

If you are on the same page as him on social issues and philosophy of governance then he’s probably going to have more in common with you as a hunter than a candidate linked to Americans for Prosperity.

That’s coming from a person whose ballots are usually more red than blue.

Well, on Election Day I marked Lahn down as a throwaway vote against Steen and Feenstra. Wednesday morning:
