The bolt throw is the hardest thing for me to go to other guns now. I’m so use to the 70 degree bolt throw now

If you want to keep money in your pocket, don't shoot a T1x 22LR. They are just as slick as the big guns, and I get to practice all year long with the same trigger group and stock as the T3. Squirrels hate it.

I have a loop of paracord tied to a press base on my bench solely for pulling cocking pieces up.. with 50% more effort I could just push it against the corner of the bench to @#)(# it too. [edit: the word that got edited to look like a curse word is just c ock]

This video is a good one for folks with tikkas to look at for degreasing their bolts which will improve reliability in cold weather. Doing this also teaches how the bolt assembly works so if someone gets in a pickle like @Nuts mentioned, you'll now how to address it in the field. Requires man hands to pull cocking piece up by hand like guy in the video but a table edge, paracord, or boot lace is pretty easy to use on the cocking piece.

I’ve had my Tikka T3 7mm rem mag for 19 years. If and when I buy a new rifle it will be a Tikka.

Sounds like the firing pin got de-cocked while bolt was out? Maybe there are bolt action designs where this couldn't happen but I'm not familiar with them. If that was in fact what happened, it's an easy fix to get it back where it's supposed to be. A boot lace or edge/corner of something hard is the extent of tools needed to get it back.

The 7mm08 just isn't as great of a rifle.
