If you know, you know

Had to be a pucker factor going up and down in that thing, at least they had an optional safety belt!

Years ago had a hunting buddy that built his own with this design. Last time he used it was on public ground. We heard him shouting for help about 45 min after daylight. When we got to his tree he was sitting about 24 feet up with the bottom portion of his stand at the base of the tree. After a really good laughing session we managed to get him down. Needless to say the other hunters in the area weren't too happy with him. Luckily he didn't get hurt.

You learn real quick to tie a length of paracord between the 2 sections.

There is one of these grown into a tree on a property I hunt, wonder if the hunter took a ride down the tree and just left it…

I have an old summit open shot...other than the cables that go around the tree, big design improvement, not much difference. That one may actually be a a little bigger.
