I never thought it would be this fun when you get a chance to take your own kid hunting or fishing. My dad bought my son a fishing pole when he was one- and he loved it. The kid actually picked it up really quick and started casting at 19 months.

He doesn't really "fish", but casts the pole out and reels it in. I took him to a nearby farm pond in early June and put a bobber with a little jig about 3 inches under it on the line. He cast it out and reels it in- and the little turkey catches his first fish (21 months).

Here is a picture of him. Most people think he's older, but he'll turn two in September... right in the middle of archery elk season (perfect...)

The next is a little fly fishing trip to a creek. His mother thinks I'm ruining his life... I'm having a great time- I hope he is too.

Let's see your huntin/fishin buddies.

Addict:

Great post idea. I have tons of those, many of which I have posted here, so I will try a few new ones. Well really, older ones that I haven't posted before.

These two have to go in sequence. The first is him proudly display the results of his crankbait experiment, followed by the same fish that did not like having his picture taken.

Two years old and already given the old man that, "You could have held out for something bigger" look.

Toddlers are not sure what to make of things like this this pronghorn. But, the smell of bun powder was in the air, so it will do. "Hey Mom, take a picture quick, the Old man may never pull this off again."

Take lots of pics, because before you know it, he will be college sophomore.

Great photos, guys.

Addict, I'm guessing that Braeden would tell you that if he's catching fish, he must be "fishing". ;)

Great pics FIN... and good advice. Digital cameras make it easy to take all the pictures I want.

Oak, I guess he was definetly fishing that day. He sure was happy.
